La villa histrica de Garachico fue en sus tiempos el principal puerto de la isla de Tenerife. En la actualidad forma, con Buenavista y Los Silos, la llamada Isla Baja. Es un coqueto lugar repleto de monumentos, como la iglesia de Santa Ana, el castillo de San Miguel, la ermita de San Roque y el convento de san Francisco, con un museo histrico en su interior, recogido y tranquilo, para descubrir sin prisas y escuchar el silencio de sus paredes, segn cuenta Francisco Andre H. El casco histrico de Garachico fue declarado Bien de Inters Cultural en 1994 en la categora de Conjunto Histrico. Para disfrutar del mar, nada como el caletn, una zona de bao con piscinas naturales originadas por la lava procedente de la erupcin del volcn Trevejo en el ao 1706. Una de las experiencias ms recordadas y demandadas por quienes lo visitan.
Love this place. It's beautiful & intimate boutique hotel in one of the prettiest towns on Tenerife. The staff are all great fun and their 'can do' attitude applies to pretty much everything. (It was immedately apparent when we pulled up in the narrow street outside and asked where we could park our hire car. "Don't bother," said the receptionist. "Give me the keys. We'll park it!" And so they did... for the rest of the week.) Tip: get them to bring you a bottle of local wine on the roof terrace late at night so you can watch the stars. We plan to... again sometime.
This place is a heaven in Garachico. It has a efficient friendly staff:They are helpful and well organized. The rooms are lovely and are in a house with an ancient colonial style. It's the perfect place if you want to get away of mass tourism hotels. The food ( as the breakfast or the diner) is tasteful outstanding and reffined. The hotel is well placed. The location of San Roque Hotel let you the possibility to reach easily the main touristics viewpoints like El Teide National Park, The capital Santa Cruz de Tenerife, La Laguna or the South part of Tenerife. To recommend!
